Born before 1150. Parents: King Erik Jedvardsson and Kristina.
Elected King in 1167 after killing his predecessor Karl Sverkersson. He died in 1195 or 1196.
He was married (abt 1160) to Cecilia, who was the daughter of Sverker I's son Johan. Children: Erik, son, son, son, daughter.
During the early years of his reigning, Knut had to fight Sverker I's sons Kol and Burislev, who were killed in the early 1170'2 near Bjälbo in Östergötland.
Knut Eriksson was succeded by Sverker Karlsson, from the House of Sverker.
