Otto
King 1832-1862
- His full name was Otto Friedrich Vilhelm. He was born on January 1st,
1815. His parents were King Ludwig I of Bavaria and Queen Therese (née
Princess of Saxe-Hildburghausen). Prince Otto became King of the Hellenes
on May 27th, 1832.
- On November 22nd, 1836 he married Amalie, Duchess of
- Oldenburg, born on December 21st, 1818, died on May 20th, 1875). They
had no issue.
- On October 24th, 1862 King Otto was forced to leave Greece.
- He died on July 26th, 1867.

Georgios I
King 1863-1913
- His full name was Christian Vilhelm Ferdinand Adolf Georg and he was
born Prince of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg. His calling
name was Vilhelm. He was born on December 24th, 1845. His parents were
King Christian IX of Denmark and Queen Luise (née Princess of Hesse-Cassel).
On July 31st, 1853 he became Prince of Denmark when his father became heir
to the throne. On October 31st, 1863 he was elected King of the Hellenes.
- On October 27th, 1867 he married Olga Konstantinova, Grand Duchess
of Russia. She was born on September 3rd, 1851 and died on January 1st,
1926.
- Children: Konstantinos I, Giorgios, Alexandra,
Nikolaos, Maria, Olga, Andreas.
- On March 18th, 1913, he was murdered in Salonika and was succeeded
by his son, Konstantinos I.

Konstantinos I
King 1913-1917, 1920-1922
- He was born on August 2nd, 1868. His parents were Giorgios
I, King of the Hellenes, and Queen Olga (née Grand Duchess of
Russia). He became King on March 18th, 1913 upon the death of his father.
- He married Sophie Dorothea Ulrike Alice, Princess of Prussia, on October
27th, 1889. She was born on June 14th, 1870 and died on January 13th, 1932.
- Children: Giorgios II, Alexandros
I, Elena, Pavlos I, Irene, Ekaterini.
- On June 11th, 1917 he was forced to abdicate and go in exile. He was
succeeded by his son Alexandros I. After his
successor's death in 1920, Konstantinos returned to the throne on December
19th, 1920 after a plebiscite. On September 27th, 1922 he was once again
forced to abdicate and was succeeded by his son, Giorgios
II.
- He died on January 11th, 1923 in Palermo.

Alexandros I
King 1917-1920
- He was born on August 1st, 1893. His parents were King Konstantinos
I, King of the Hellenes and Queen Sofia (née Princess of Prussia).
He became King on June 11th, 1917 following his father's abdication.
- On November 4th, 1919 he married (morganatically) Aspasia Manos, born
on September 4th, 1896, died on August 7th, 1972. She was granted the style
and title HRH Princess of Greece on September 10th, 1922.
- Daughter: Alexandra.
- On October 20th, 1920 he died after having been bitten by his favourite
monkey. On December 19th, 1920 his father Konstantinos
I became King after a plebiscite.

Giorgios II
King 1922-1923, 1935-1941, 1946-1947
- He was born on June 19th, 1890. His parents were King Konstantinos
I, King of the Hellenes and Queen Sofia (née Princess of Prussia).
When his father was forced to abdicate in 1917, he didn't become King even
though he was his father's eldest son. Instead his brother Alexandros
I became King. When Alexandros died in 1920, Konstantinos
I was called back to the throne, but was forced to abdicate on September
27th, 1922. This time Giorgios succeeded his father, but was forced to
leave Greece on March 25th, 1923.
- He was recalled to the throne on November 3rd, 1935 but was forced
to leave Greece again following the German invasion on April 23rd, 1941.
He was once again called to the throne on September 28th, 1946.
- On February 27th, 1921 he married Elisabeta Charlotte Josephine Alexandra
Victoria, Princess of Romania and of Hohenzollern. She was born on October
11th, 1894 and died on November 15th, 1956. They were divorced in 1935.
They had no issue.
- On April 1st, 1947 he died and was succeeded by his brother, Pavlos I.

Pavlos I
King 1947-1964
- He was born on December 14th, 1901. His parents were King Konstantinos I, King of the Hellenes and Queen Sofia
(née Princess of Prussia). He became King upon the death of his
brother Giorgios II on April 1st, 1947.
- He married Friedrike Luise Thyra Viktoria Margarete Sophie Olga Cecilie
Isabelle Christa, Princess of Hannover on January 9th, 1938. She was born
on April 18th, 1917 and died on February 6th, 1981.
- Children: Sofia, Konstantinos II, Irene.
- On March 6th, 1964 he died and was succeeded by his son Konstantinos
II.

Konstantinos II
King 1964-1973
- He was born on June 2nd, 1940. His parents were King Pavlos
I and Queen Friedrike (née Princess of Hannover). He became
King upon the death of his father on March 6th, 1964.
- On September 18th, 1964 he married Anne Marie Dagmar Ingrid, Princess
of Denmark, born on August 30th, 1946.
- Children: Alexia, Pavlos, Nikolaos, Theodora, Philippos.
- On December 13th, 1967 he fled into exile. He was deposed on June 1st,
1973. The monarchy was finally abolished by plebiscite on December 8th,
1974.
