Gustaf II Adolf

King 1611-1632

Born 9 of December 1594 at Stockholm's Palace. Parents: King Carl IX and Kristina of Holstein-Gottorp. King upon the death of his father on 30 of October 1611. Crowned in the Cathedral of Uppsala 12 of October 1671. Killed in the battle of Lützen 6 of November 1632.

Married 25 of November 1620 to Maria Eleonora (1599-1655), daughter of Elector Johan Sigismund of Brandenburg and Anna of Prussia. Children: Christina (1623-1624), Christina.

Gustaf II Adolf was the leader of the Protestant troups in the 30 year-war. It has been said that he planned to make himself a Protestant Emperor, but he died during a military campaign in Germany.
