King upon the death of his father on 29 of September 1560. Crowned in the Cathedral of Uppsala 29 of June 1561. Captured 29 of September 1568 and formally deposed by the Parliament 26 of January 1569. Died (poisened) 26 of February 1577 at Örbyhus.
Married 1567 to Karin Månsdotter, born 1550. Official wedding 4 of July 1568. Karin was crowned 5 of July. She died 13 of September 1612 at Liuksala, Satakunda in Finland. Children: Sigrid (1566), Gustaf (1568-1607), Henrik (1570-1574) Arnold. (1572)
